1. His Eyes. A man can make a woman do things she isn’t even aware of with the right look. Dark and penetrating. Sexy and sinful. Whatever his thoughts, they can be communicated with just a perfect look.

2. His Lips. A mouth that can make a woman want to get on her knees and beg for a kiss? Yeah, I’d take one of those any day. 

3. Scars. I am a big lover of scars at just the right spots. From a tiny one by his lip to one going down the side of his face. If he can make it look sexy, I’m for it.

4. Fun. I love a man that can be fun as well as sexy. A man who can take a joke as well as give one is someone all women need.

5. Strong but Sweet. No, this isn’t a trick. Men can be strong and dominant while still being sweet and caring. You don’t have to give up one to get the other. But if he has both, he’ll have much more attention from me.

6. Skill. A man needs to be more than a pretty face. If he can work his brain as well as his body, then we have a winner. No mimbos in these stories.

7. Understanding. While not all women are easy, the hero has to try to be understanding of his female’s character flaws. We have a lot on our minds and sometimes come with a lot of baggage. He’ll need to try to be understanding in order to make way with his woman.

8. Patience. Not everything is black and white and not all women will adjust to a relationship in a way a male may want. A hero has to find the patience to gain his woman’s acceptance and sometimes her trust.

9. Priorities. She’s his priority. 

10. Hot Sex. Need I say more?

Sirens blared. One after another the police cruisers and fire department vehicles sped by in a rush. A honk sounded from behind James Brock’s SUV. He glanced over his shoulder.

“This moron is trying to cause an accident,” Tony Ramirez, one of the Federal Paranormal Unit team members, yelled at the rearview mirror.

Brock glanced over his shoulder. A black Sedan tailed close behind them. Too close.

Ramirez gripped the wheel so hard his tanned knuckles turned white. “I’m already doing eighty.”

“Tony, let them by.”

There was something big going on. He curled his hands into fists in his lap. He knew what it was. They all knew.

“Where do you think they’re all going, Brock?” The concern in Jane Donovan’s voice momentarily choked him. Her soft lilt reminded him of his mother’s voice. At first appearance, you’d think Donovan was a weak woman, but make her angry, and you’d have hell to pay.

Tension turned palpable with its own heartbeat in the fast-moving SUV.

“I can take a wild guess.”

They made a sharp corner on a bend into a dirt road. The SUV skidded on its wheels for a second. Everyone held on while they bounced in their seats.

“Jesus H. Christ, Ramirez! Can you not to get us killed before we get there,” Donovan growled.

“Sorry, cariño, but there is no time to be worried about your delightful ass bouncing on the seat when we have to find a missing kid.”

“I told you to stop calling me darling!”

“Ramirez…” Brock sighed.

Their constant bickering wasn’t unusual, so he ignored it and focused on the scene ahead. Multiple police cars parked outside the house he’d called the local PD on. The house he knew had the latest missing person they had been searching for.
